But does that mean that particular area of your body knows how to work in conjunction with other body parts to form a functional and safe movement pattern that is needed for actual sport or life?

Most of the time, the answer is no.

The number one predictor of future injury is previous injury. The sports medicine world has known this for years, but nothing was done about it. That's no longer true. There are many of us who are focusing on rehabbing injuries all the way to a functional level so your risk of injury drastically decreases and your performance is restored to the level it was before the injury, or even better.

Through movement assessments such as the Functional Movement Screen, the Selective Functional Movement Assessment, and the Y-Balance Test, I am able to identify areas of dysfunction that are contributing to your current condition and may lead to an injury down the road.

Through my functional corrective exercise training program, we will work together to improve mobility that is limiting your movement, and re-train your nervous system to piece together all of the moving parts.
